SG #2:
Disabling Pop-Up Blockers for Blackboard
This guide will walk you through the process of disabling two pop-up blockers that could be on your system. Blackboard uses Javascript to prompt users such as asking if you're ready to take a test, for confirming deletions etc., which these pop-up blockers will block.
Disabling Internet Explorer's Pop-Up Blocker:
Step 1: In Internet Explorer, under Tools click on Pop-up Blocker , then Pop-up Blocker Settings.
>> Note : This will only appear if you have Internet Explorer 6.0 with the Service Pack 2 Patch released September 2004. If you do not see this, it is because you have an older version of Internet Explorer.
Step 2: Under Address of Web Site to allow, type http://online.umflint.edu . This will allow all pop-up windows from all online.umflint.edu pages to appear.
Step 3: Hit the Close button. The new settings will take effect immediately.
Disabling Google's Pop-Up Blocker:
Step 1: If you use the Google Toolbar, it also can block pop-up windows. To disable it, click the icon that looks like pop-up windows to disable it.
