Assigning a Grade to a Discussion Board:

This guide will walk you through the process of using the Discussion Grader within Blackboard. This is a way for you to assign a grade for posting within one of your discussion boards.

Step 1 : Click on the Control Panel link and click on Discussion Grader.

Step 2: Choose the forum that you would like to grade.

Step 3: Choose a previously created Gradebook item or create a new item.

Step 4: You will see a list of the students in your course. The students that have posted in this forum will have a Grade button on the far right hand side. Click on this button.

Step 5: View the thread and decide what score to give the thread. Type this amount into the box.

Step 6: Click the Submit button.
