Combining Blackboard Course Companion Shells

This guide will walk you through the process of taking multiple Blackboard course shells that you have and combining them into one course.

Step 1: Enter the Secure Area in SIS at https://birch.umflint.edu .

Step 2: In SIS, click on Faculty Services.

Step 3: Underneath Faculty Services click on Combine Blackboard Course Shells.

Step 4: For each course you want to combine, select the same grouping number next to those courses and click Combine Shells. This will combine the selected course shells.

*Note: Please combine course shells before adding any content to the courses.  Adding content before combining shells causes the resulting combined course to become corrupted.
