Question type: Opinion Scale/ Likert Question
Opinion Scale/Likert questions ask you to read a statement and then specify a level of agreement, frequency, importance, likelihood and so on. This question type is most frequently used in a survey situation.
- To add an opinion scale question, select Opinion scale/ Likert from the question type drop-down menu, and click Go.
- Enter question text.
- Determine how the answers will be displayed by selecting Answer Numbering and Answer Orientation.
- Check Allow Partial Credit and optins will appear under each answer to assign a percentage of points possible. Remember if you are using this as a survey, points are not calculated.
- When this question type is created, six answer fields are pre-populated with the following answers:
- Strongly Agree
- Agree
- Neither Agree or Disagree
- Disagree
- Strongly Disagree
- Not Applicable
However, you can modify these answers to fit the needs of the question.
- Complete the question by adding optional feedback, categories or keywords.
- Click Submit to add the question to the canvas.
