Question type: Jumbled Sentence
Jumbled Sentence allows users to select an answer from a drop-down list of choices. Only one set of answers is used for all of the drop-down lists, but the question text can include several variables. Partial credit can be given.
- To add a Jumbled Sentence question, select Jumbled Sentence from the question type drop-down menu, and click Go.
- Enter question text that includes includes variables in square brackets [x] corresponding to locations in the text where the drop-down list should appear. Variables must be unique and cannot be reused. Examples of variables would be [blank1] or [x]. You should not use spaces in the variable names.
- If you want Blackboard to score partial credit, put a check in the Allow Partial Credit checkbox. This will give a fraction of the total points for partially correct answers.
- In the Answers section, enter the answers that will appear in the drop-down list. You may add up to 20 possible answers.
- Click Next.
- Specify the correct answers by selecting them in each drop-down list.
- Complete the question by adding optional feedback, categories or keywords.
- Click Submit to add the question to the canvas.
