Adding a Course Link

This guide will walk you through the process of adding a Course Link into a content area of your Blackboard course. This gives you the ability to create a link in one part of your course that directs students to another part of the course without having to search for it directly.

Step 1: Access the Control Panel by clicking on the Control Panel link.

Step 2: Next, choose which Content Area you would like to add a course link in and then click on the Add Course Link button.

Step 3: Type in the name of your Course Link or you may choose a title from the drop down box. You may also choose a color for the link.

Step 4: You may add text to describe your course link. This will be shown directly underneath your course link. You may click Preview to look at your description of your course link.

Step 5: To actually add your Course Link , click on the Browse button to choose a location for the course link to be linked to. Select which area you would like the link to connect the visitor to and click on the Submit button.

You will then be taken back to the course link creation page where you will see the Location text field -- under Course Link -- as populated.

Step 6: Choose the options you want for your Course Link.

Step 7: Click on the Submit button to add your Course Link. You will receive a confirmation receipt. Click the button to close the window.
