Copying a Course

This guide will instruct you on copying an old course and its content into a new course.

Step 1: Enter the course you wish to copy from and click on Control Panel.

Step 2: Click on Course Copy.

Step 3: Click on the Copy Course Materials into an Existing Course link.

Step 4: Underneath Select a Course , enter the course ID where you want the old course copied to. If you do not know the course ID for the current course, click on the Browse button. This will bring up a course search window. In the Search By: field, select Instructor. Make sure All Courses is selected for the Created in Last: field. Type in your uniqname and hit Search. Hit the Select button next to the course you wish to choose as the destination.

Step 5: Under Select Course Materials , select all options. Under Enrollments, leave Enrollments unchecked. Copying an old student roster will cause several complications, so it is advised to never copy enrollments.

Step 6: Click the Submit button. You will receive a timestamp confirmation of the course copy. Click to return to the control panel. You will receive an e-mail verifying the course copy has completed.
