There are many names for extended learning -- continuing education, professional development, nontraditional education, nontraditional delivery.

More simply, we provide learning opportunities outside the traditional, face-to-face classroom. That includes:

• Online and "mixed mode" academic courses
• Weekend (Saturday) courses
• Off-campus courses
• Professional development courses and workshops (both online and face-to-face)
• Custom course development for organizations and education institutions
• Technology and online instructional support for UM-Flint faculty

The demand for extended learning opportunities is very high, and we are working continuously to expand UM-Flint offerings. To do this, we collaborate with as many University units and community organizations as possible.
